A concrete fountain doesn’t just decorate your yard — it transforms the space. The sound of water flowing, the solid feel of the structure, the way it catches light and draws birds… it’s more than just a feature — it becomes the centerpiece.
At Keystone Gardens, we make every fountain right here on-site in Miami Gardens. If you’ve got one or are planning to pick one up, here’s everything you need to know about how to set it up, where to place it, and how to keep it looking great.
What is a 3-Tier Fountain?
It’s exactly what it sounds like — three concrete bowls, stacked one above the other. Water flows from the top down, creating a smooth cascade and a steady, relaxing sound.
We make ours heavy and solid. You won’t find hollow resin or lightweight plastic here — these are built for South Florida weather and made to last.
Bonus: they attract birds, butterflies, and good energy. A yard with moving water just feels different.
Why People Buy Them
Looks: Nothing says “well-kept” like a centered, working fountain
Sound: The water calms the space and cuts through background noise
Wildlife: Birds love it. Neighbors usually do too.
Curb Appeal: Whether it’s your front yard or a business entrance, fountains elevate the space instantly
Where Should You Put It?
Choose a spot where the fountain is safe, visible, and easy to access.
✅ Level Ground: You need a flat, stable surface — pavers or concrete pad preferred
✅ Visibility: Make it a focal point — line of sight from a window or seating area
✅ Shade or Partial Sun: Direct sunlight’s fine, but full shade keeps algae down and water from evaporating too fast
✅ Away from Overhead Trees: Less cleanup, less clogging
Installing Your Fountain (Keystone Style)
We don’t send manuals — we give you the real way to do it.
Tools You Might Need:
A level
A shovel (for prepping the ground if needed)
Water hose
Extension cord (if you want the pump running right away)
Step-by-Step Setup:
Clear and Level the AreaDirt, grass, or old mulch won’t cut it — make it flat and solid.
Set the BasePlace the bottom bowl or basin. Make sure it’s level. This matters more than anything.
Add the PumpDrop the pump into the basin with the cord fed out the back. We’ll tell you what pump works best — or include it if requested.
Stack the TiersLine up the middle and top tiers one at a time. Our fountains are made to interlock or rest snugly. Use your eye and a level.
Add WaterFill the bottom bowl until the pump is covered.
Plug It In & Test ItYou’ll know it's working when water flows clean from top to bottom, no splash-out or sputtering.
Maintaining It the Right Way
🔁 Routine Upkeep:
Top off the water every few days (especially in summer)
Clean the pump every few months — rinse and clear debris
Scrub algae with a soft brush (no pressure washers)
Seal the concrete once a year with a clear masonry sealer if you want it to keep its color longer
🌦 Seasonal Tips (For South Florida):
We don’t freeze, so no need to drain in winter — just keep it clean and topped up
Summer = more evaporation and algae, so rinse and refill more often
